11 Signs that a Person has Heart Problems

9. Persistent coughing

Have you been experiencing a persistent cough? Like the ones that you can’t get rid off even with taking cough meds? Then be worried, because you might have a heart disease. The coughing is due to the fluid accumulation or congestion, in the lungs, which makes the breathing more difficult. If you notice a worsening in your cough or wheezing which affects your breathing, this may indicate that your heart failure is getting worse and you should contact your doctor. A dry, persistent cough can also be a side effect of some medicines used in heart failure.

10. Swollen Legs, Feet and Ankles

Similar with coughing, swollen legs, feet and ankles are caused by fluid accumulation because of the irregularities in blood flow. Reduced blood flow may cause this swelling. If you have experienced these, and cannot attribute it other causes, this might be a symptom of you having a heart disease. Consult with your doctor.
