Batista, as he is popularly called has actual Filipino descent. His father, David Michael Bautista is a pure Filipino. His grandparents are both immigrants to the USA, so obviously, they were not of good economic standing. But this did not hinder Batista to dream and aspire for better life. He said that he was never ashamed he was once poor. Today, he is a six-time World Champion winning the World Heavyweight Championship four times and the WWE Championship twice. Indeed he has built himself a type of reputation which cannot be easily forgotten.

His breakout performance was when he played Rufio, the charismatic red-stripe-haired leader of Lost Boys in the film Hook in 1991. He worked alongside the legend Robin Williams and Dustin Hoffman. It was one great experience that changed his life forever. He has been a familiar and constant personality from then on.
