Salted, Pickled and Smoked Food
Sometimes, preservatives work for our own good but also, sometimes it do not. Too much nitrate in the body increases the risk of having cancer. These additives usually does not totally dissolve in the body and when it accumulated up to a certain amount it becomes totally toxic for the body. Eventually, such toxins cause damage at the cellular level and lead to diseases like cancer. What is more disturbing is that, when cooked properly, these preserved food alters its chemical content that makes it more risky. For example, when smoked foods are cooked at high temperatures, the nitrates are converted to the much more dangerous nitrites.
