These INTARMED students take premedical course for 2 years, and medical course and internship for the next five years. Yes, they can finish medicine after 7 years of studies without getting a 4-year baccalaureate degree.
In addition, UP offers the most affordable medical education in the country, with 20,000-30,000 per semester depending on the student’s annual family income. In return, the UP medical students have been required to sign a return service agreement starting 2009.
