Parañaque City’s total income is 3.7 billion pesos. And its total expenditure on education, culture, sports/ manpower development, and health, nutrition and population control combined is almost 500 million pesos.
Its economy is described as the most dynamic for it hosts hotel casinos. Parañaque was ranked by the National Competitive Council and the USAID as one of the best in terms economic dynamism, government efficiency, and infrastructure 2014 Cities and Municipalities Competitive Index.
In 2014, the Aseana Holdings, Inc. has allotted 2-3 billion pesos to turn Parañaque City into a business district. This April 2015 Ayala Land, Inc. announced their plan to build a shopping mall “larger than the SM Mall of Asia” at the Aseana Complex. Before that, the Solaire Resorts and Casino was opened in Parañaque City.
